Why prevent modern slavery?
Modern slavery involves severe abuse and exploitation of people for another business/individual’s gain. It includes a number of crimes including slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires businesses with a turnover in excess of £36 million to report annually on their anti-slavery practices via their website homepage.
All businesses are now expected by customers, clients, regulators and finance providers to employ anti-slavery strategies.
